All educational components of the Offender Rehabilitation and Workforce Development Program are instructed by certified offender mentors and offender tutors who are graduates of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Certified offender mentors have achieved certification from the approved industry based certification groups for the vocation which they provide instruction (see Vocational Training Programs.) Offender mentor teams also include: lead certified offender mentors who have the additional responsibility of oversight of an entire program area; offender mentors who assist with instruction while working towards certification; and offender peer ministers who are ordained ministers and have proven to be competent pastors verified through years of proven faith-based experience. All mentors are appointed at the discretion of the wardens at LSP and LCIW.
